// 05 · FAQQuick answers.

Is this clinical massage or a spa-style massage?

Clinical. Our LMTs are trained in deep tissue, trigger point release, neuromuscular techniques, and rehab-supportive work — licensed therapeutic massage targeted at musculoskeletal complaints rather than relaxation as a standalone goal.

Do I need to be a chiropractic patient first?

No — you can book massage as a standalone cash-pay service. That said, many patients get the most benefit from the combination, and it's the only way we bill insurance for massage (see below).

Will my insurance cover massage?

Only when massage is part of an active chiropractic treatment plan and is medically necessary for your condition. We bill OHP, VA Community Care via TriWest, and other plans the same way — under that medical-necessity standard alongside ongoing chiropractic care. Standalone massage outside an active treatment plan is cash-pay (HSA/FSA accepted; time-of-service rate available).

How long are massage visits?

60 minutes. That's the only length we currently offer.

Are the LMTs in-network with VA Community Care?

Yes — when massage is part of an active chiropractic treatment plan and is clinically indicated. Many of our veteran patients receive both chiropractic and massage under the same TriWest authorization. See our veterans page for details.

Is massage safe during pregnancy?

Yes — when delivered by an LMT trained in prenatal positioning. We use side-lying setups with proper pillow support and modify pressure and techniques to fit each trimester. See our pregnancy page for more.
